to barge in there; it's understandable that they didn't want to crowd

"What are the ships you've usually sailed like?" Taura asks instead.
"I think I've seen pictures of a ship like that," says Taura, whose
knowledge of sailing ships could fit in a thimble. "What century are you
from? I've only been on space ships. Nothing like this one either, though."
